As our communities continue to feel the impact of COVID-19 we want to let you know that our stores are taking the necessary steps to ensure that the restaurants we operate and the products we prepare are as safe as they can be. The safety of our Guests and crew is our primary objective.
Beginning Monday, March 16 most locations have chosen to temporarily suspend all buffets and salad bars. And now with the restriction of gatherings of ten or less being imposed, our dine-in business also is being impacted with stores eliminating this portion of their business for now. However, our stores remain open for delivery and carryout. For those of you that choose to enjoy pizza from your own homes, we encourage you to place delivery and carryout orders via our website at Godfathers.com or by calling your local Godfather’s Pizza.
As you have probably already heard, the CDC has determined COVID-19 is not transmitted through food. To increase your peace of mind, our pizzas are baked at a temperature of 450+ degrees Fahrenheit in order to reach a safe internal temperature range between 180 and 200+ degrees Fahrenheit, killing potentially harmful pathogens. The pizza leaves the oven and is cut and placed into a pizza box without coming into direct contact with the crew member’s hands. Additionally, we are in the process of implementing a touch free delivery option for our Guests during the delivery process upon request.
We are doubling down on our already stringent standards through:
- Reinforcement of existing sanitation and increased cleaning and disinfecting of commonly touched surfaces and;
- Reminding our crew members what they need to do to keep themselves, their own family members and of course of Guests safe through personal hygiene including frequent handwashing, not touching the face and staying home if they are not feeling well.
